I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
